This course is designed for students who have taken both
Ceramics I and II and Sculpture I and II.
The course will explore designing in 3 dimensions in a more
self-directed manner. Students will be
using 3-D building materials including some clay. Students interested in a career in the arts
are encouraged to take this class.

Students will be introduced to several methods used in the
making of clay objects. Hand-built
objects will be constructed. Students
will learn the basics of glazing and coloring to finish their constructed

In this class we will use the wheel to throw pots. We will learn more in-depth hand building
techniques and glazing in more creative and free ways. Students in this class
will learn to load and unload the kiln as well as how the kiln functions.

This class will introduce a wide variety of drawing
materials and techniques to the students.
Subjects for drawing will include portraits, landscapes, figures, still

This course is designed for those students who want to build
on their creative skills and the knowledge they gained in foundation. Basic art concepts such as design and
composition are further explored through drawing, painting, crafts, and print
making. Imagination, creative thinking,
and the beginning development of a personal style will be emphasized. Students will research styles of various
master artist and combine their own personal style or subject matter with the
techniques that have evolved through time.

This class is for students who are interested in art as a

This course is designed for students who would like to go
