COMPUTER SCIENCE
INTRO TO COMPUTER PROGRAMMING* (MTH2370) Credit: 1/2Prerequisites: A in Algebra I (271) or at least a C in Academic Algebra I (272)Meeting: 48 minutes, 3 days per cycle, full yearOpen to: Sophomores, Juniors, SeniorsThe objective of this course is to learn how to program a computer using a high-level general-purpose language and to study some of the theories of computer science. Topics covered will include but not be limited to the following: Top-Down design, Procedures, Conditional statements, Looping controls, and Arrays.ADVANCED PROGRAMMING I (MTH3370) Credit: 1/2Prerequisites: Completion of Intro. Computer ProgrammingMeeting: 48 minutes, 3 days per cycle, full yearOpen to: Sophomores, Juniors, SeniorsThis course will study multi-dimensional arrays, graphics with color and sound, sequential files, random access files, sorting and searching, multiple forms, menus and dialogs. Other more advanced programming applications are also explored.
