The following excerpt is from the PGHS Profile 
Three townships, Lower, Upper and West Pottsgrove, compose the Pottsgrove School District and surround the borough of Pottstown on the north side of the Schuylkill River. The district has a population of 19,130 people, is located in Montgomery County and is 40 miles due west of Philadelphia. Pottsgrove is a four year comprehensive, public high school, with a total student population of 1060 with approximately 80% of that number enrolled in the college preparatory course. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The school year consists of four marking periods with graduation in June.

The school day consists of seven class periods on a six day cycle - A, B, C, D, E, and F. Example..
Monday - Day A, Tuesday - Day B, Wednesday - Day C, Thursday - Day D, Friday - Day E,
Monday - Day F, Tuesday - Day A, continue cycle..
The current letter for each day can be found on the Weekly bulletin.
Students are assigned each class period to a class, study hall or lunch.
