Pottsgrove Virtual Academy

The Pottsgrove School District offers a cyber school option to students grades 6-12. We are reaching out to all of our families currently participating in a cyber charter experience. We believe that for some learners and their families a cyber option may make good sense. Our goal is to bring families back to the district because we believe that through our partnership with Brandywine Virtual Academy we can provide a more comprehensive program, more educational options and support services to students residing in our district currently attending a remote cyber school.

Check out some of the benefits of coming back to Pottsgrove in this capacity such as:

  • In 2010 Pottsgrove School District students outperformed their cyber charter school peers on the PSSA’s in mathematics, reading, and science.
  • Students in the Pottsgrove Virtual Academy program are Pottsgrove students and will have access to library and guidance services and all of the student activities that the Pottsgrove School District makes available to its traditional students.
  • Students will receive a laptop computer, high-speed Internet access, and a Pennsylvania Department of Education-approved curriculum taught by Pennsylvania-certified, highly-qualified teachers from the Brandywine Virtual Academy.
  • The Pottsgrove School District ensures that the educational program and the curriculum meet the district’s and the PA Department of Education’s standards.
  •  Pottsgrove School District students who meet graduation requirements and who successfully complete the Pottsgrove Virtual Academy program will receive a Pottsgrove School District diploma.
  • Blended learning options
