Dear Parents,
 
Welcome Back! The PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization) has been planning this year’s activities and projects. Enclosed in this packet is information on the PTO activities for the school year. Please fill out and return the following forms and subscriptions:

  • Volunteer List: Please check off the activities you would like to help with. You will be contacted by the committee chairperson with more detailed information at a later date.
  • Student Directory: Please fill out this form only if you do NOT wish to have your student’s information printed in this year’s Directory. The PTO creates a student directory to be given to each Ringing Rocks Family listing students’ name, classroom, address, and phone number. Please see Ringing Rocks Directory document to opt out, otherwise your child’s information will be included automatically.
  • Membership: If you are interested in joining our PTO please return the membership form and money either at the first PTO meeting or to the school by Friday September 28th.
  • E-mail Address: We will be sending out reminders and most PTO flyers through e-mail this year. Please“subscribe” to the Ringing Rocks PTO (ringingrockspto) list. You can find a link to subscribe on the pgsd.org webpage in the bottom right of the screen or go to this web address:  http://lists.pgsd.org/sub.
Enclosed in this packet is information on how to subscribe to the district list(s) (including the PTO list). The PTO e-mail listing will only be used for PTO purposes. We also have a Facebook page! Don’t forget to “Like” us on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/RingingRocksPTO
We appreciate any amount of time you can give, be it at home or at school. It is only through the efforts of our volunteers that we can provide these entertaining activities for our children!
 
Also, enclosed is a list of PTO Board, and PTO committees and Chairpersons’ for each committee. All of our committees are in need of volunteers and a few are in need of Chairpersons. If you have any questions or would like to join a committee, please contact the chairperson or either of the PTO presidents or board members.
 
All parents are invited to attend the monthly PTO meetings. They are held the first Thursday of every month. A list of our meetings and dates are enclosed. Our first PTO meeting is Wednesday, September 5th at 7 p.m. in the Library. This date was changed due to a conflict with 4th Grade Back to School Night at Lower. All following will be the 1st Thursday. The next meeting will be held Thursday, October 4th at 7
p.m. Please join us! Your comments and ideas are needed to help make our year a success.
