We are still collecting outdoor items for our “Outdoor Fun” basket that we are making for the P.T.O.’s Bingo event.  If you are able, please send in an item for our basket.  We have received some items for our basket already, and I am hoping our class will be able to provide a full basket for the Family Bingo Night! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    I sent home a field trip form earlier this week.  Please be sure to complete it and return it, with payment, to school by the due date.  If you were chosen as a chaperone, please return all necessary paperwork and money, or contact me if there is a problem.  This trip is a lot of fun and the children always enjoy it!

   On Thursday, we will be visiting Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School to take a tour of the school the children will be attending next year.  We will be going first thing in the morning.  I know the children will be excited to see their new school!

Reading –   The children took their Unit Five Pre-C.F.A. this week.  Next week, we will begin reading poetry.  The children will also be trying to write some of their own poetry.  We will also begin working on retelling stories that we are reading.  The children will have a spelling test on Friday.       

Math –     We are continuing with Unit 11.  The children are learning multiplication right now and are really enjoying it.  We are also continuing to practice trade-first subtraction.  This is something that everyone should be able to do independently, so please encourage your child to practice this at home. Next week we will begin looking at multiplication and division fact families.
