I began teaching in the Pottsgrove School District in 2002 at Lower Pottsgrove. After four years of teaching fourth grade, and one year as a kindergarten teacher, I decided to try teaching at the middle school. I received my Middle School Math certificate in 2006, and the following year began teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra I to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. In 2012, I made the switch to 6th grade math and realized that this is where I truly belonged.
Besides teaching, I have also enjoyed my role as a coach. I served four years as the middle school girls soccer coach, seven years as the middle school field hockey coach, and am currently into my sixth year as head coach of the high school field hockey team.
My husband is also a teacher in the Pottsgrove School District, teaching 11th grade English. We are very fortunate to be able to teach in the same district, and have the opportunity to get to know the wonderful families that make up this community.
