4TH GRADE!!!!!
    Welcome Back 4th Grade

OH MY GOSH!!!!! Can you believe the summer is almost over and we will soon be ready to start a brand new school year? Are you excited????? Me too!!!!! If you are feeling nervous, don’t worry at all. We are going to work hard, but we will always work together and have fun while we are learning.

If you are like my daughter, the school supply aisle in Walmart is calling your name. I totally understand, so I have a list of supplies that you will most likely be needing for 4th grade.

    1. Crayons, markers, colored pencils. (Some students just prefer crayons. That’s fine. Others like to have all three. It’s totally up to you.)
    2. Glue sticks
    3. Scissors
    4. Journal notebooks. We write every day, and students go through several notebooks over the course of the school year. We have a morning journal, a writing journal, and math journal. You can start the year with 3, but will most likely need a few more throughout the year, so if you find a bargain on notebooks, maybe you’ll want to stock up on several so that you have them.
    5. Plenty of pencils. I’ve found that students LOVE the mechanical pencils; however, they often become a distraction when students attempt to perform surgery on them during class. Number 2 pencils are preferable, but if you love the mechanical pencils and can keep them together and in one piece, they are fine. I like them too!!!
    6. Folders – I will give every student a brightly colored homework folder, a work-in-progress folder, a Social Studies / Science study folder, and a Friday Folder.

I think that’s it. If I’ve forgotten to mention something, please let me know.   Feel free to email me any time at dharrar@pgsd.org. I’d LOVE to talk to you, answer your questions, and just make you feel as comfortable as possible as we begin this new school year.  See you all soon.
