    Indoor Air Quality

Good indoor air quality contributes to a favorable learning environment for students, productivity of teachers and staff and a sense of comfort, health and well-being for all school occupants. These combine to assist our District in meeting our core mission, educating children. Please see what we are doing to provide adequate indoor air quality by taking a look at our Indoor Air Quality Management Plan and Indoor Air Quality Management Policy.

Pottsgrove School District is a committed partner with the EPA in adopting and following the guidelines of their Tools for School Program.

Recycling is a high priority for Pottsgrove School District. The recycling program has recently been expanded to include the collection of cardboard, glass, aluminum, plastics, e-waste, metals, batteries and electrical lamps. Please see what we are doing by taking a look at our Environmental Management Plan and Recycling and Hazardous Waste Management Policy.

Pottsgrove School District works in cooperation with PaperRetriever for recycling of paper. Please look for our PaperRetriever bins located at all schools and help support school fundraising efforts through recycling.

    Integrated Pest Management (IPM)

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. Please see what we are doing at IPM by taking a look at our Integrated Pest Management Policy and our Integrated Pest Management Plan.
