PGMS Physical Education Philosophy: to expose our students to as many physical activities as possible so they may find an activity they choose to participate in for the course of their lifetime.
WHAT ARE WE DOING IN CLASS?
SEPTEMBER - RUN/WALK FITNESS & GAGA
OCTOBER - GAGA & FOOTBALL (throwing & catching, running with the ball, playing the game)
NOVEMBER - FITNESS (working in the fitness room, learning to use equipment & creating a routine of exercises for class)
DECEMBER - FITNESS CIRCUITS(inclusion with regular PE classes to engage in fitness stations)
JANUARY - STEP AEROBICS / BASKETBALL (dribbling, passing, shooting & game play)
FEBRUARY - HOCKEY & INDOOR SOCCER (stick & puck handling, passing, shooting 7 game play), TABLE TOP TWO SQUARE & VOLLEYBALL
MARCH - VOLLEYBALL (forearm passing, setting, serving & game play)
APRIL - BADMINTON (forehand, backhand, overhead hit, overhead smash, service & game play), HANDBALL & WALKING/RUNNING TRACK
MAY - FITNESS TESTING, TENNIS BASEBALL & KICKBALL (throwing, catching, batting, kicking & game play)
JUNE - FRISBEE (throwing, catching, ultimate frisbee & frisbee golf) / SPEEDMINTON / CAN JAM
