    Wix is a free online tool to help you customize a website.  You can select a template; they have “100s of fully customizable HTML5 templates available in every category...or you can create something totally original”.  


    1. Go to http://www.wix.com/ and create a free acount.


    1. Select a Creative Arts Template and then click on Portfolio. Click GO.

    1. You will see many pages of templates, click through until you see “Curriculum Vitae”

    1. Click “Edit” to edit the “Curriculum Vitae” page.

    1. There is a brief tutorial that you can watch to learn about all Wix’s features.


    1. You will be keeping the bubble headings: My Resume, My Work, My Skills.


    1. You will also be keeping Hello, a bit about me and complete the paragraph on the homepage.  Give the visitor of your page some substance about you, as a person and a student.

    My Resume:

    FORMAL PIECES:

    • A listing of ALL of the formal pieces of writing you composed from English during this school year.  List your work from BEST to WORST.  This is intended as a process that forces the writer to reflect on his or her values as an author.  The best piece does not mean it is the best assessment by your teacher - it is literally the best that the author thinks he or she can produce…(The page can be formatted any way you choose.)

    • Accompanying each listed assignment is a precise of the assignment - that is, a brief explanation of the goals and objectives of the assignment.  

    • Each piece is a clean, edited version, and can be viewed via a hyperlink to the file.  

    • OPTIONAL FOR ADDED POINTS:  A listing of the formal pieces of writing you composed for other courses during this school year.

    INFORMAL PIECES:

    • At least 2 informal pieces that you wrote this year should be listed here.

    • Accompanying each informal piece is a precise of the assignment - that is, a brief explanation of the goals and objectives of the assignment.  

    • Each piece is a clean, edited version, and can be viewed via a hyperlink to the file.  

    REFLECTION:

    • An expository paragraph should explain your reasoning behind your “Best to Worst” list for your formal writing section.

    • An expository paragraph should explain your reasoning behind choosing the 2 informal pieces.  

    • Explain how you value these writing pieces.

    My Work:

    • Create a presentation of your creative, editing process. This presentation will be of the “worst” of the formal writing pieces that you listed and provided a hyperlink to in the My Resume bubble.  Your presentation should show your revising process, editing, and the improvements made.

    • You will visually document the steps you took to transform your writing piece from one stage to the next, to the next, and then to the last.

    • How can you present the editing process?  Be creative!  Include screen shots of the writing...videotape your thought process while editing...track your editing using pictures or audio...make a movie...sing a song…

    • In this presentation, you must provide the actual revision of your worst piece showing the visitor of your page that you working on bringing a piece of writing to the point of which you are proud of.

    • View the 20 most common errors of college students.

    • Can you locate any of these common errors in your papers this year?

    • In this skills section...list #’s 1-20.

    • If applicable, write the example of incorrect usage from your paper and then fix it!  (If you can not locate this error in any of your papers - write a new creative one incorrectly, and then fix it.
