Degrees and Certifications:
Originally, I grew up in Southeast Massachusetts, and I graduated with an English degree from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA. I moved here from Georgia seven years ago with my family. Currently, I live in a beautiful rural area in Berks County. My teaching career began in Georgia, and I taught in the same school district for 7 years. I started as a High School English teacher, then taught Gifted at a middle school for grades 7-8, and my last position in Georgia was a Reading Intervention Teacher for grades 9-12. This school year marks my 16th year in the Teaching field and my 6th year here at Pottsgrove Middle teaching 7th grade Language Arts. I recently received my Master's of Education at Wilkes University.
Along with my teaching attributes, I am also a proud mother of four children, have a sweet old white lab named Sugar, and I am happily married to my husband, Chris. In my spare time, you would find me: spending time with my family, reading, running, paddleboarding ( I love the ocean), writing, listening to music, and traveling. I also consider myself a foodie in which I love to cook and eat delicious food!
