This course uses Pearson's enVision program.  enVisions was designed with a focus on mathematical modeling to support all learners on their pathway to college- and career-readiness.  All Common Core standards are aligned with the program and each lesson is broken down into four pieces: Explore, Understand/Apply, Practice/Problem Solving, and Assessment.  The program uses a combination of collaborative classroom activities, adaptive software, and on-going student support. Student will have access to a student workbook and a digital textbook (as well as a hard copy). We will also use online software powered by MathXL for practice problems.

Classroom activities have been designed to incorporate the 8 mathematical practices on a regular basis.
      1. Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
      2. Reason abstractly and quantitatively.
      3. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
      4. Model with mathematics.
      5. Use appropriate tools.
      6. Attend to precision.
      7. Look for and make sense of structure
      8. Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.
