Mrs. Debra MacIlvain

I am in my 12th year of teaching computer education/technology at Pottsgrove Middle School.  People in the 21st century live in a technology and media-suffused environment. I believe that to be productive, effective and successful  in the 21st century, citizens and workers must be able to exhibit a range of functional and critical thinking skills related to information, media and technology.   Teaching computer education/technology allows me to help students develop and learn life long skills today and for the future which will empower them to be productive and successful in our digital society.

I am also the National Junior Honor Society Advisor and advisor for the PGMS Press.   The  National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are the nation's premier organizations established to recognize outstanding  middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serve to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character (and Citizenship for NJHS). The PGMS Press is published every school year quarter.  Students can join the PGMS press by completing a permission slip and attending meetings.
