Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year
Dear Pottsgrove Families,
In just a few short weeks, our hallways will once again be filled with the excitement of students returning for a new school year. Whether your child is beginning kindergarten, entering senior year, or somewhere in between, I hope this year is filled with meaningful learning, new friendships, and experiences that help every student grow.
As I prepare to begin my first school year as Superintendent of the Pottsgrove School District, I have spent much of my summer getting to know this wonderful community. Throughout my career, I have believed that strong schools are built on strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Although I am new to Pottsgrove, I have already experienced the pride that defines this community, and I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received. Our administrators, teachers, and support staff have been working throughout the summer to prepare for a successful opening of school, and I look forward to joining them in welcoming students back on August 27 and visiting each of our schools during those first days.
As the father of three grown children, I know that every child is different. Each of my children learned in their own way, had different interests, and found success through different experiences. Those experiences remind me that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. That belief will continue to guide the work we do every day in Pottsgrove.
As you prepare for the start of school, please remember to complete the required electronic first day paperwork. These forms are required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and help us ensure that every student is ready for the first day of school. This year we are also welcoming a new transportation provider. We appreciate your patience as everyone works together during the first few weeks of school. Our principals will communicate any building specific arrival and dismissal updates in their welcome letters.
It is an honor to serve as your Superintendent, and I look forward to working in partnership with our students, staff, families, and community. Together, we will continue to build on the many strengths of the Pottsgrove School District while providing every student with the opportunities they need to succeed.
I hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer. I look forward to meeting many of you in the weeks and months ahead and working together to make this a successful school year for every student.
