Hello everyone.  I have enjoyed my music teaching/performing over many years.   I hope to bring my years of experience, perspectives and some pride to help you with your interest and enthusiasm with you playing your musical instrument.  DW

Teaching Career:  

1980 to 1986:  Coatesville Area School District:  3 and 1/2 years:  junior high band and 7th grade general music;
3 years:  High School:  Marching and Concert Bands, Orchestra, Jazz Band
 
1986 to present:  Pottsgrove School District: 
12 Years:  High School Marching and Concert Bands, Jazz Band, Orchestra, Brass Ensemble
11 Years:  Elementary General Music (Lower Pottsgrove Elementary Grades:  K to 5)
6th year:   Elementary Band/Stringed Instrumental: Present position  (Days 1, 2, 3, 5, 6)

Performance Career (Trombone/baritone; bass trombone):   Various musical groups over the years including the following:
--Professional (Regional) Orchestras including:  Pottstown Symphony, Allentown Symphony, Reading, etc.
--Cruise Ships (showband musician), Carnival Cruise Lines (Summers/Christmas/Winter breaks: 2004 to 2009)
--Orchestra Society of Philadelphia;    New Life Christian Church (Christian/rock) orchestra in Newtown, PA
--Pottsgrove Community Band
--Currently still performing with various other (freelancing) musical performing experiences in the metro-Philadelphia area
--2012 and 2013, Guest artist with The Manila Symphony (rehearsals and Season Concert)
--August, 2013, Taught first college trombone/brass masterclass at University of Santo Thomas, Manila
--June, 2014, Performed in pit orchestra (Trombone 1) in Steelriver Playhouse's (Pottstown) production of "The Music Man"
