       Art Education is an important part of a child's education.  It exposes the child to higher level thinking, problem solving skills, and promotes understanding of his or her environment.  The students will value art and have an innate appreciation of why the arts are essential to understanding societies both past and present.  It is my goal to give each of my students a comprehensive art education that includes not only making art but also experience the history and culture of art movements in time.  They will develop skills in Criticism, History, Aesthetics, and Art Production.  Every year the students will build upon past learning while engaging in new discoveries.
