I grew up in Berks County and attended grade school and high school in the Wyomissing area.  I always thought I wanted the "big city life", so I started my college career at Temple University.  That was not quite the right fit for me, but I did find my place at LaSalle University just a few miles up the road from Temple.  I did all my student teaching in the Philadelphia School District. 

 

For a time I was married into the Navy and I taught in Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma.  When I returned to Pennsylvania I began teaching in the Muhlenberg School District as a middle school special education teacher.   After I earned my Reading Specialist degree I earned my position here in Pottsgrove. I love teaching and I've enjoyed all my teaching experiences, but here I have the chance to do what I love all day long - teach reading!

 

I currently live in Reading with my husband and my fifteen year old daughter.  As of September my son started my twenty-three year old son started pharmacy school at Temple University. In my free time I enjoy listening to  music, exercise, and of course, reading.
