    Welcome to 6th-8th Grade Reading Intervention

     
    This reading intervention class is designed to give additional reading support to students in the areas of reading instruction.  In this class we will be using two reading intervention programs; Read 180 and System 44.   Within these programs, students receive instruction in phonics, fluency, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing.   Student progress is measured using the Lexile Framework for Reading and given various reading strategies to improve their reading.   Students will work on application software on their ipads, receive small group instruction in reading comprehension and explore independent reading books.
