Kindergarten Registration

Welcome to the Pottsgrove School District! We are so excited to welcome your child into our kindergarten program! Kindergarten students need to be age 5 prior to September 1, 2026, to be registered. Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open! 

2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration

In-person registrations during the summer are by Appointment Only in the district office and will be reserved for families with limited English proficiency and those families who have limited access to the internet or a laptop and printer. The district summer office hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday starting June 5, 2026 through August 21, 2026.  Please call the student registration line at 610-327-2277 ext 1045 to make an appointment, if applicable.

You will need to upload the appropriate documentation to complete the registration process. The documents needed are listed below:

Please provide a copy of your Driver's license or Dept. of Transportation identification card with the current address. Click here to update your PA Driver's License

1. Proof of the child's age (any one of the following is acceptable)

  • Birth certificate (preferred) if you don't have one click here: Application for a Birth Certificate

  • Notarized copy of the birth certificate
  • Baptismal certificate
  • Copy of the record of baptism - notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth
  • Notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth
  • Valid passport: Apply for a Child's U.S. Passport
  • Prior school record indicating the date of birth

2. Up-to-date immunization records or Immunization Exemption Statement Form

3. Proof of Residency (two proofs required)

Acceptable 1st Proof of Residency (one of the following):

  • Property Deed - All pages and notarized signatures required.  If you need a copy: Request a copy of your Property Deed in Montgomery County. A Mortgage Deed is not a Property Deed and will not be accepted. For families purchasing a new home or new home build ONLY!  Please provide your signed Agreement of Sale or Purchase Agreement (All pages required) and the agreement must indicate a set settlement date to be reviewed by the registrar prior to registering. Settlement on your new home must occur within 60 days of the student's start date per Pottsgrove SD Board Policy. After closing on your new home please provide the deed including all pages and signatures and current utility bill or utility activation to studentregistration@pgsd.org to update your former address to the new address.
  • A property tax bill (no more than 3 months old) a copy can be obtained at your local Township Building (must be current and up to date) Per Capita Tax Bills are not accepted
  • Current Fully Executed Signed Residential Lease or Rental Agreement - All pages required and must be signed by the Lessee (Renter) and Lessor (Landlord or Property Owner / Manager). If you do not have your current Lease or Rental Agreement, please reach out to your Leasing Office or Landlord to request a copy of your Lease Agreement.  HUD Acknowledgements are not acceptable as a lease agreement.

Acceptable 2nd Proof of Residency (one of the following):

  • A utility bill - gas, water, electric, phone (no more than 3 months old), full statement or utility activation email or letter for new residents with the address and date of activation.  You can reach out to the utility company and request an activation letter.  We do not accept a screenshot of the bill in the envelope. 
  • An internet bill - XFinity, Verizon, etc (no more than 3 months old) - must be the full statement.  We do not accept a screenshot of the bill in the envelope. 
  • A credit card bill (no more than 3 months old) - must be the full statement.  We do not accept a picture of the bill in the envelope. 
  • A bank statement (no more than 3 months old)
  • A mortgage Statement (no more than 3 months old) must be the full statement. We do not accept a screenshot of the bill in the envelope. 
  • An insurance document (no more than 3 months old) - We do not accept a screenshot of the piece of mail in the envelope. 
  • A piece of mail sent in the last 3 months by the federal or state government such as benefits information, voter registration, or tax documents. Tax documents with SS#'s will not be accepted. We do not accept a screenshot of the piece of mail in the envelope. 

Copies of these documents should be uploaded to the registration portal, or you can send them directly to studentregistration@pgsd.org if you’re having trouble uploading them to the portal. Please put your student’s name in the subject line when emailing these documents to us.

* Note - If these documents are not submitted to the Registration Department, your child will not be fully registered with Pottsgrove School District and this will cause a delay in the Registration process.

Kindergarten Screenings

Kindergarten Screenings for the 2026-2027 school year will begin in April 2026.  Your child MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED AND ENROLLED in the proper elementary school prior to signing up for a screening. Please note that all students will be placed on a kindergarten class roster even if they are unable to attend a screening session.

Kindergarten at Pottsgrove is a full day program!  We are excited to see your child in the fall!
